Listen up, folks! Mak Singh is not just your average public servant, he's a powerhouse of passion, a community leader with a heart as big as a bicep, and a sports advocate who knows how to pump up the spirit! Re-elected as a City Councillor (Politician) in Wolverhampton in 2021, Mak's commitment to his people is as strong as his handshake. They call him "The Community Man," and he's earned it by uniting neighbourhoods like a true champion.

Mak's got his sleeves rolled up, working with local churches, temples, The Royal British Legion, sports clubs, and businesses. He hosts events that bring people together, celebrating unity and inclusion like a victory on the field. His vision? To build a community spirit that's as unbreakable as steel.

As a member of the Wolverhampton Sports Advisory Council, Mak's all about using sports as a tool for growth and empowerment. He's a big-time supporter of Special Olympics athletes and was crowned ‘Special Person of the Year’ in 2017. That's right, he's got the hardware to prove it!

Mak designed the official logo for the Wolverhampton  Advisory Council and organized a legendary event honouring athletes who have represented the UK on the world stage. And guess what? He raised funds for the children’s charity Promise Dreams while doing it. Now that's what I call a hero!

In 2024, Mak was honored with the Sports Coach of the Year Award by the Mayor of Wolverhampton, Linda Leach. His impact on youth and community sports is as undeniable as a flexed muscle.

But wait, there's more! Mak's not just about public service and sports, he's a writer too! In 2025, he published two romantic novels and a self-help book titled Unlock Your Greatness: Your Journey from Stuck to Success. It's packed with wisdom and strategies to turn life's challenges into triumphs, just like Mak does every day.

Whether he was on the city council floor, in the gym, or through the pages of his books, Mak Singh is on a mission to inspire, connect, and lead by example. So get ready, because Mak is here to pump you up!

The power of having a vision began at the age of 7.  He would watch Bollywood films and wanted to become like his role model actor Dharmendra. At the age of 13 he began working out with weights and at the age of 14-years-old he began competing in the Powerlifting sport.  He was announced the strongest 14-year-old in the whole of the United Kingdom and records show today he was the strongest in the world then. Mak was also the first 14-years-old to compete in the Powerlifting sport. He covered his bedroom walls with posters of bodybuilders and posters of his his new role model Arnold Schwarzenegger.  This is when his journey and vision of wanting to be successful in Powerlifting and to work in movies began.

Whilst studying at university Mak won the British Powerlifting Championships and he ran his first gymnasium. Mak created a weight training course in partnership with Bilston College to help youngsters to get involved in sports. This was successful and Mak coached and created the top four under 21 junior British champions.  The lessons Mak learnt from the sports field taught him to be competitive, work hard and have a mindset of winner. This led him into films.  Mak comprehends that the power of having a vision truly works when the producer of the film he was signed to be in was no other than his role model Dharmendra. 

In 1999, Mak appeared on big screen alongside actor Sunny Deol, the director and the biggest action hero of Bolllywood.

From 2013 to 2015 Mak wrote, produced and co-directed short films for Christian Vision highlighting issues such domestic violence, child abuse, poverty, human trafficking, disability, women's rights, alcohol and drug abuse.

Mak appeared in the World Rugby Commercial 2015 with famous actor Charles Dance. This aired across the SKY Sports channels.

In 2018 Mak co-produced a song to create awareness of drug abuse and the song was launched in the House of Commons. This was supported by many Member’s of Parliament. Mak has also produced and recorded two songs to raise funds in aid of homeless veterans.
