“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,“ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Each of us carries a God-given dream, something unique, powerful, and purposeful. But somewhere along the way, life happens. The noise of the world, the opinions of others, and the weight of responsibilities try to bury what God planted in you.
Let me remind you today: That dream still lives. God didn’t give you a spirit of fear or timidity. He gave you power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). And now is the time to walk in that truth.
🧭 Go Back to the Roots—God’s Design
When your plans fall apart, don’t panic - pivot back to the foundation. Even I, after decades of training, coaching, and striving, have had to return to the basics physically and spiritually. Right now, I’m combining the discipline of old-school bodybuilding with the strength of powerlifting. But more importantly, I’m combining vision with faith.
Because our greatest strength isn’t found in routines it’s found in Christ.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1
🔄 Transformation Begins with Obedience
God often calls us to step into something new, but it requires a shift. A shift in your mindset, your circle, your habits, even your diet. Change isn’t comfortable, but it is crucial. You can’t enter a new season with old strategies.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2
I’ve learned this first hand. I’ve been in seasons where I drifted—but the Lord always brought me back. Because God’s calling doesn’t expire with age. Purpose doesn’t retire. Passion doesn’t fade. And faith doesn’t fold.
🎭 Say Yes Before You Feel Qualified
At 20, I was running a gym and studying business when I randomly walked into a theatre audition. Surrounded by trained actors, I had zero experience. But I stepped forward with quiet confidence and God opened the door.
“Your gift will make room for you and bring you before great men.” Proverbs 18:16 That moment showed me something powerful there are gifts inside of you, you haven’t discovered yet. But they are unlocked through obedience, not comfort.
💭 Where Has Your Dream Gone?
Let me ask you today:
Are you enduring life, or are you walking in purpose?
Are you living by God’s vision, or by the world’s expectations?
Are you surrounded by people who fuel your faith, or those who drain your dream?
“Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” Proverbs 13:20
You were never created to simply survive. You were called to thrive, to influence, to build, to inspire, to lead.
🛠️ God Can Use the Setback as a Setup
There were moments in my public and political journey where doors were shut, where the council used “conflict of interest” to block my vision of building a training centre for the community.
But where man says “no,” God says “not yet.”
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
Instead of quitting, I pivoted. God gave me a new platform to reach people. And what began as a setback has now become the seed for something revolutionary. Delayed does not mean denied.
🌍 Legacy Lessons from Mr. Gee and Mr. Sai
My grandfather, Mr. Gee, arrived in the UK in the 1960s and saw opportunity where others saw obstacles. He became a pioneer in real estate. My father, Mr. Sai, faced racism and attacks but with faith and resilience, they both overcame.
Their stories remind me of Joseph in Egypt, betrayed, imprisoned, but never broken.
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Genesis 50:20
God can use your pain as the foundation for purpose. Their faith, like Abraham’s, looked beyond what was visible and believed in what God promised.
🔥 Reignite Your Flame
This isn’t just about lifting weights. It’s about lifting your life, raising your standard, reigniting your calling, and reclaiming your identity in Christ. “The righteous may fall seven times, but they rise again.” Proverbs 24:16 Run the extra mile. Make the call. Take the step. Use your gifts. Because your dream matters to God.
🙏 Final Reflection: Faith in Action
You may be thinking, “Is it too late for me?”Let me tell you, it’s never too late when God is in it.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20
If God placed a dream in your heart, He will provide the grace, the strategy, and the strength to see it through. But it starts with action. It starts with surrender. It starts with believing again.
So today, I challenge you: Reclaim your fire. Redesign your future. Refuse to settle. and walk boldly into the purpose God has for you. Because the dream isn’t dead it’s just waiting for your faith to rise.
Let’s go.
