That’s something I’ve come to live by.
People often say that as you grow older, you should focus solely on your career and family. But I’ve learned that when your passion burns bright, age is just a number. At the heart of my journey through sport, public life, film, and entrepreneurship has always been a relentless pursuit of potential.
🔁 Back to the Roots
Even now, when my training hits a plateau, I go back to what works. Back to the basics.
Sports and training have been lifelong companions. Though I’ve drifted from them at times, my commitment never left me. These aren’t just workouts they are rituals of resilience.
Currently, I’m blending Arnold Schwarzenegger’s advanced superset routines with powerlifting fundamentals, the same approach that helped me rise to national prominence. This isn’t just physical, it’s mental. It’s spiritual. It’s how I stay sharp.
I plan to reclaim my British title and, God willing, capture the World Masters Championship. But this journey is about much more than medals. It’s about transformation.
💡 Transformation Requires Change
To unlock your greatness, you must embrace change. Change your mindset. Change your circle. Change your habits, your routine, and sometimes, your diet. Dreams are not reserved for youth. Passion is timeless. And purpose evolves with you, not against you.
🎭 When You Say Yes to the Unknown
I still remember being 20 years old running an underground gym part-time and studying business. One summer, I walked into a theatre audition on a whim. Drama students filled the room, and I had zero experience. But I had belief and belief moves mountains.
To my surprise, I was cast in a comedic role as a 10-year-old in a schoolyard scene. When the curtains opened to a sold-out crowd, I brought the character to life with humour and heard the audience erupt in laughter.
That moment uncovered something unexpected: A gift for performance. A hidden talent revealed by simply stepping forward.
🔥 Where Has Your Dream Gone?
Are you enduring life instead of living it?
Have you buried your dream under practicality or fear?
What’s holding you back—and why not change it?
Dreams don’t die—they get drowned by noise, expectations, and comfort zones. Break free.
🧱 Resilience in Politics and Beyond
As a public servant, I faced countless setbacks particularly when politics collided with my mission to empower through fitness. “Conflict of interest” became the council’s go-to excuse to block support for my training centre. But I didn’t stop. I pivoted. I adapted. I built new platforms to connect with people platforms I believe will revolutionize the industry in the next five to ten years. Setbacks became setups. Obstacles became openings.
🌍 Lessons from Doorsteps to Bollywood
From door-to-door sales to film meetings in London, every hustle was a stepping stone. Sales commissions funded my travels to India, which in turn helped me pursue a passion in the Indian Film Industry. Never underestimate where a single effort can lead.
🏘️ Legacy Lessons from Mr. Gee
In the 1960s, Mr. Gee my grandfather saw a landlord renting out individual beds and thought: "Why not me?" He started acquiring properties in Wolverhampton and learned from those who’d been in the game since the early 1900s. Inspired, he began turning rooms into income and tenants into communities. Real estate became his canvas for freedom. Every property a testament to vision. Every tenant a building block for legacy.
✊🏽 Defying Racism, Building Legacy
In the mid-70s, Mr. Sai my father opened a shoe shop, only to watch it be devastated in a racist attack. But alongside Mr. Gee, they rebuilt, expanded, and diversified.
When Mr. Gee was offered a role by a powerful property owner, he saw the hidden agenda: They wanted to limit his growth. He walked away fearless and declared: "I will own more than you ever imagined."
And he did. That courage flows through my veins. That defiance shaped my destiny.
🛠️ Your Turn: Reclaim Your Fire
Maybe you’re not a lifter. Maybe your dreams aren’t on stage or in politics. But the principle is the same:
Go the extra mile.
Make the call.
Design the strategy.
Take the leap.
You don’t need permission to pursue your purpose.
🧭 Final Thoughts
This isn’t just about lifting weights, it’s about lifting your life.
So ask yourself:
Where has your dream gone?
What needs to change?
What’s your next bold move?
Reclaim your fire. Redesign your future. And never let age, fear, or society set your limits.
Your greatness isn’t behind you it’s waiting Ahead.
